Magnetic Separator

Introduction

Magnetic drum separator is used for wet magnetic separating or dry magnetic separating in manganese ore, magnetite, pyrrhotite, roasted ore, ilmenite and hematite limonite. Moreover, the machine is applied to iron-removal process, like non-metallic minerals, chemicals, building materials, ceramics, cement, abrasive and powder metallurgy. In general, magnetic separator is used with ball mill and crusher.

Main Functions:

1. Coarse crushing can complete coarse crushing and exclude waste rocks. Then the crushed lean iron ore can be sent to next process.

2. Select the unreducted iron ores in the burning process and then send them to roaster again.

3. Magnetic drum separator is used for removing iron in petuntse to improve the quality of ceramic product.

4. Wet high intensity magnetic separator is applied to remove iron in burning coal, foundry sand and refractory.

Principle

When separating the ores, the swivel rotate in the clockwise direction and ore pulp is fed in by the ore bucket and flows to the inner circle of the swivel along the gap of the yoke. The magnetic media will be magnetized in the magnetic field, and the surface of the magnetic media will form high-gradient magnetic field. The magnetic particles in the ore pulp will be absorbed to the surface of the magnetic media and brought with the rotation of the swivel to the non-magnetic field on top. Then this part of materials will be rushed by the washing water to the concentrate hopper, and the non-magnetic particles will flow through the inner circle to outer circle and into the tailing hopper and then be discharged.
